Digital X-Rays

Digital radiography, or computerized X-rays, is part of the high-tech services that we provide to our patients by utilizing the DEXIS® Digital X-ray system. Digital X-rays use less radiation than traditional film. Instead of a piece of film, the system’s sensor is placed in the mouth to capture an X-ray. The DEXIS® system uses a sensor with rounded corners and a smooth casing that makes the process of taking X-rays more comfortable for patients and more efficient for our staff. Another benefit is time savings. There’s no waiting—as soon as the X-ray is taken, it appears immediately on the computer monitor. And because of the enhancements in the digital X-ray software program, we are better able to diagnose and treat conditions. Since the images can be enlarged, patients are able to clearly visualize and understand the diagnosis and proposed treatment plan. We are pleased to offer digital X-rays and other technologies so that our patients gain a positive dental experience.

ViziLite

Oral cancer is one of the most curable diseases when it's caught early. That's why the ViziLite Plus exam has been developed. ViziLite Plus uses technology that has proven successful in identifying soft tissue abnormalities in other areas of the body. A ViziLite Plus exam is particularly important if you are at increased risk for developing oral cancer

An annual ViziLite Plus exam, in combination with a regular visual examination, provides a comprehensive oral screening procedure for patients at increased risk for oral cancer. The ViziLite Plus exam is painless and fast, and could help save your life.

Diagnodent New Laser Diagnosis

Prevention instead of Treatment:

Lightspeed Root Canals in One Visit

LightSpeed~ combined science, engineering and research in developing this endodontic instrument that is now being used at our office. LightSpeed instrumentation is conservative. It removes sufficient decayed dentin to clean and shape without removing health tooth structure which weakens the root. This approach reduces the risk of future root fracture.

We have computers in each treatment room we are able to give you the very best care along with accurate information without leaving our patients. Our philosophy is to give one on one care to each and every patient on a personal basis.

We also use this technology to make your appointments more comfortable, better able to detect and treat decay and perform procedures with maximum safety.

Air Abrasion

Air abrasion is used to remove small areas of decay or to prepare a tooth for the placement of restorations or sealants. This procedure works with an air compression device that delivers, under pressure, tiny particles of aluminum oxide to the surface of a tooth structure to blast away decay. It is similar to sandblasting a building to clean it.

Air abrasion is good with early decay and helps to preserve tooth structure. Discomfort is minimized and many patients do not need to any anesthesia. Children and adults who are fearful of needles, noise or the vibration of a regular dental handpiece may prefer this option. It cannot be used as an alternative for every procedure.

Intraoral Camera

Is a wand-like device that is a miniature video camera that has a tiny magnifying lens that projects a picture from your mouth onto a computer screen. The image can be magnified up to 40 times its original size to allow us to see fractured enamel, gum recession, fracture lines in teeth and breakdowns of restorations, and lets you see what we see. This helps us to diagnose and recommend better treatment plans for you.
