Our staff has had a busy month of training!  Rita completed the Dental Radiology Course from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  She is now certified to take x-rays.

Travis completed the Coronal Polishing Class at Hastings from Creighton University and he is now certified to polish teeth.  Good job Travis!

Rita just completed the Periodontal Educational Workshop put on by Prodentec in Denver.

Our staff attending an OSHA Update meeting in Ogallala.  At it's completion we did our bi-annual OSHA compliance review of our office.  We have decided convert to computer based progress notes to reduce the risk of cross contamination from the charts.  Dr. Peterson and staff were please that we meet and surpass the OSHA standards which provides protection for our patients and staff.

Linda attended a workshop on the new Nebraska Sales Tax and its ramifications as related to the dental field.

     Previewed video tapes on Effective Dental Office Management provided by Procter and Gamble Company.

    Deb, Linda and Angelique attended an all day workshop on Effective Office Management of Accounts Receivable.

     Dr. Peterson and his staff attended a workshop presented by The University of Nebraska Medical Center on "Early Childhood Caries" by Dr. Jessica Meeske and "Segmented Techniques in Orthodontics" and the Effects of Functional Stresses on the TMJ" by Dr. Jeff Nickel.

     Linda completed the college class of Accounting II.

    Sherry just completed her radiology course from University of Creighton in Omaha and she is now certified to take x-rays. 

    We have completed our three months of OSHA video tape training and testing.  We have evaluated our office for following OSHA requirements and as a result have moved to computer charting to reduce the need to bring the chart in the treatment area during treatments.

     All of our dental assistants are working on completing a 10 hour dental assisting video tape course. Upon completion they we receive a certificate of completion. 

Our staff attended an all day workshop on Periodontal Disease in Denver.  New classification of our periodontal program will be in affect.  Current educational materials and equipment will also be incorporated to better help our patients understand the importance of gum tissue health and it's relationship to overall health.

Our staff received 2 hours of training on OSHA and MSDS regulations.  They took tests over these materials and evaluated our current levels of infection control used in our office.

All staff members viewed an ADA OSHA Update video and took tests on OSHA requirements and MSDS updates.

Travis and Sherry were trained in a hands on training session on taking impressions.

Travis attended a two day radiology course offered by Creighton University in Omaha and he is certified to take x-rays.

Dr. Peterson attended the Midwinter Dental Conference in Denver, Colorado.

Emergency Procedures in the Dental Office education video tape was viewed and discussed.  Current infection control procedures were covered and our office was reevaluated by staff members on our current compliance with these new regulations.

Linda is taking her second semester of accounting.  Pray for her.
