December 2000

     We are participating in the Civic Center's Decorate a Christmas Tree to be displayed Saturday Dec 10 at the Civic Center in Gering 11:00 to 4:00.  This program supports the Gering High School Harmony Group.

November 2000

     We are sponsoring the "Giving Hands Project".  We are asking patients and others of the community to please drop off cans of food at our office.  This food will be donated to our local food pantry.

October, 2000

     We donated 30 toothbrushes, toothpastes, and Health Snack Smile bookmarkers to the School of Nursing for them to use in their Adopt A School project with West moor School.

     Sharon Stricker talked to the first grade classes at CCS about brushing their teeth, flossing and good nutrition.  She showed a movie about dental health around the world.  Each student was given a dental care bag with all kinds of "goodies".

September 2000

     Donated patient education videos and patient education handouts to local orthodontist about the use of Sonicare toothbrushes to help improve the oral hygiene of patients with braces.  Sonicare recommends the Ultra compact head to be used with braces.

      We participated in a health fair Omicron had for their employees.  We demonstrated Mr. Gross Mouth  who was loaded with cavities and gum disease and Mr. Dip Lip who had oral cancer, tooth loss and bad breath from using smokeless tobacco.  We gave away a variety of handouts and brochures on topics from Dental Sealants to Bleaching. We displayed a wide range of produces available to aid in good oral health.  Two TVs were running that discussed different dental services and procedures along with a laptop displaying our website.  The employees had great questions and we enjoyed sharing our dental and nutritional information with them.

August 2000

     We celebrated our 25th Anniversary. We had an open house for our patients and community to come and celebrate with us!

     Jacque, Christi and Angelique have given talks to the Scottsbluff and Mitchell football teams about the importance of using professional made mouthguards.  They showed a video of Playsafe ™ and answered questions.  We want the players, coaches and parents to be aware of the differences between the boil and bite guards and professional, individualized designed sports guards. The physical and dental health of your child is at risk when they play sports unprotected by mouthguards.

July 2000                                                       

    Built a cement pathway for the Gering residents to get from the north side of Gering to the south side.  The children of our area and walkers use it the most.  We probably have over 50 children, bikers and walkers using it during the day, and more on weekends!

June 2000                                                                                     

    We donated 30 "Care Bags" to missionaries going to Haiti.  We have also supported Monument Bible Church youth group mission trip to Mexico and Grace Chapel's 2 youth members who are going to Brazil.

    We completed our playground area for the children of our patients.  However, we have noticed that local children come and play and on weekends one father brings his two children over and they "picnic" in our grassy area:-)  See Kid's Area for pictures.

May 2000                                    

     We donated 16 Emergency Dental Care tubs and baskets to the School nurses in the following areas: Bayard, Minatare, Gering, Harrisburg, Cedar Canyon, C.C.S and Gering Christian Academy and Camp Rock.  This is our way of thanking these special individuals for being available to care for the needs of our children.

March 2000

     We spoke to different schools and preschools in the Scottsbluff and Gering area about good oral dental health.  We placed dental health messages on the radio and provided dental health articles for local newspapers.

January 1999

     We present local "dental health messages" on KCMI.  The dental health topics change each month in order to help increase the dental IQ of our community.
