Dr. Peterson is performing volunteer dental
exams at a large local nursing home for patients that the local dentists
will not see because they are on Medicaid and/or have severe senility.
Many of these patients have not seen a dentist for 4 or more years and
their dental needs are great. We are also are sharing dental
care health information for the elderly with the nursing home
staff. This project will take several months to complete because we
have been informed there are over 120 residents in need of exams.
